Since 1992 every 8th of June is World Ocean’s Day, this day was proposed by Canada at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

World Ocean’s Day is a day for us to pause and appreciate its bounty, its health and its intrinsic value.  Our magnificent ocean’s feed us, stabilizes climate temperatures, exchanges climate gases, increases biodiversity and creates glorious beaches. Today more than ever it needs our help, right here in our back yard there is a battle and its being led by  Alexandra Morton who outlines her findings in The Pristine Coast which you can now watch online.

Thank you Alexandra!
